Being a Cannington resident and a serving councilor of Ward 3 – Walter was aware of every issue that the locals faced. He promised to make the following changes:

    • Development of a solid staffing position
  • Reviewing the cost of the Sunderland Arena Expansion proposal
  • Promoting good governance by taking responsibility and acknowledging mistakes
  • Developing clear and effective communication lines between residents and council members
  • Keeping a check on the Brock Property Taxes
  • Starting “Time with the Mayor” meetings – to promote communications
  • Development of a workable and useable transit system
